A Dance to Remember

Watcha say...

The song goes as we jived to the beat. Our field demo was our last group activity. We totally enjoyed it and the best part is that we won! But I know that all the three sections were winners. Congratulations to all the sophomores! The presentations were amazing.

We made the steps few weeks ago. I thought that it would just be a simple dance steps but it would really require us to stay late at school. Anyway, it was all worth it. As the practices continued, I discovered many things about my classmates. We've been together like everyday for almost a year yet there are still things to discover about them. I also became close to other girls. And the practices, totally fun. The jokes that we shared, the laughs, few things I'll really miss during summer. This calls for a farewell party.

Be back after exams...

A day it was

Wake up lazy bones....

Yeah, I said that to myself yesterday morning. With all the stuff that I did the night before, I just want to stay in bed and sleep. But I know that I have so many better things to do.

So I went to school and practiced for our field demo. By noon, me and my other companions joined the rally against the RH Bill. It was seriously hot but I didn't mind it because I know that I'm doing something meaningful. Now I'm totally against the RH Bill. It was said during the Homily that one of the Filipino's treasure is that how we value family and the life within it. Our values would be at stake if ever this bill would be passed as a law.

After the rally, my family and I went to by some things needed at home. Then we went in a dinner at an exquisite restaurant in a certain hotel. The food was very tasty and I was certainly satisfied.

At home, I watched two movies, Black Swan and Burlesque. Both movies were nice. Black Swan was about a girl who was such a perfectionist. A character ones said to her that the only person standing in her way was herself, she must loosen herself in order to enjoy and do other stuff. I think that it was the part that I was touched the most. You should also try to take risk in order to enjoy life and not only focus on being the best always. We should also give others a chance to shine.

Loosen up... it works just like that...

A Play

10...9...8..7

I am bombarded by so many things. Especially in the play. Lots of preparations and I encountered many problems, but they were not ordinary to me. There were some who were hard to handle and thankfully there were some who really cooperated.

Our play is entirely different from what you usually see. Not only is it for 15 minutes, but it's in French. It was as if I was the only one who understood the play though there were already subtitles. There were dragging parts as expected but it was successful for the record. Still, I could have done somethings better. To further elaborate my feelings, our success was somehow bittersweet. I really know that I could have done something better. Anyway, past is past and we could not change it. The important part is that I know the actors did their best and they enjoyed it, also did I.

you should not only work... you should also enjoy....

Intramural 2011

Go Team!

Yup, the most awaited intramural is here. The different tribes presented their own cheer dance that we've practiced for days. I really enjoyed our own cheer dance. It was actually different from the others. We wore our masks proudly and started to enter the field. As the music started my heart was pumping at its hardest. I memorized the dance steps in my mind and it was exact with the music. Before the dance, I actually said to myself that whatever the result is, the most important thing is that I enjoyed and owned the dance. Then I danced, danced and danced as the music got faster. It was a relief to finish the dance, but something in me still wants to dance over again. It was too fun to end. But I hope that I danced well. After that I sat with my friend and tribe mates and watched the remaining tribes.

The dances presented by the tribes were amusing. I myself could not conclude which is which. By 10:30 we started our game in softball. Guess what? We won! There were so many games that our tribe won. Yehey, for us! I hope that this luck of us would continue until the third day.

Whatever happens, I enjoyed.....

Definition of failure

Failure, a success delayed....

This was the title of the book I came across while waiting for my sister. Right now, I feel like a total failure at some aspects of my life. Especially in my studies. My grades and scores before the play practices were really something worth bragging. Unlike now, it feels that I went down 3 feet below the ground. I could never, ever blame the play for I was also the one who volunteered myself to become the director.

But I think this is just a challenge for me to do my very best and there is no time to waste, right? Yeah, I should just calm down and try to manage it all. Besides, I could even manage a whole production. So why should I not do the same for myself? I also came to realize that being the director was another challenge for me that no matter what the result is, I should whole heartedly accept it. There's always a reason behind everything. It is also a test for me on how I could handle and balance things at the same time.

Besides, everyday is new day......

Moments

I am so grateful to experience these.....

It has been such a long time since. Anyway, I'm back! The play practices has taken up much of my time. I had some sleepless nights to tell you all. Our technical dress rehearsal shall be on Monday. Luckily I had time to do this post. It's just that a lot of things had come and go yet I failed to share it with you.

Last Wednesday, a teacher treated me and my friend for some snacks at Chowking. It was very surprising, at the same time quite honored. I think it was my first time.

Now this is really something to remember. I watched a musical play at Colegio de San Jose last Saturday entitled The Song Of Joseph. Actually there were still many things that happened before I watched the play. It was 6:30 in the morning, my friends and I went jogging at the Barbeque Park. It was fun and my first time to do it with friends and outside school. After we had our breakfast at Jollibee. We also went to a friend's house afterwards. Our goal really at that day was to practice for our play and so we did. I was even late.

I was already at the school when I realized that my ticket for the show was not there. I did whatever went to my mind. Then my friend told me to go to Ms. Adrias because she might have had some spare tickets. And so I did. There she gave me a letter to signify that I forgot my ticket at home and nobody could bring it to me.

Then there I was, already at the show. Magnificent, the word that could describe everything in the production. The actors sang very well that you could really feel the true meaning of the song. After the show we had autographs and pictures with some of them. They were very kind to us. until now, the songs still lingers in my mind that seems so vibrant. That was one of the only times I was fully relaxed. To tell you, the only reason that I watched it is because I need to get ideas for our play. Still it was for work.

Like a good book, I need to go back to reality and do my business....

One after the other

Friday...Saturday....Sunday...

Fun never gets tired of visiting me these days. Now it's already our sem break. Last Friday was my birthday. It was totally something to remember. That day, I felt somehow truly loved by I don't know, everyone. I arrived early at school which made it quite perfect. When I arrived, I was greeted by everyone. Even when I just passed by the other section's classroom. I went down again and as I approached the blackboard, I saw this happy birthday greeting that said "from yr. 2 St. Anne, Mrs. Pasaporte and CATHERINIANS. I was in awe. I thought that it was very kind of them to also place their section there because they also helped in the drawing. So thanks Catherinians!

Last Saturday, I had another blowout with my close friends. We ate at Mooon Cafe. Of course, we had some fun. After the lunch me and my friend headed to the school for our workshop. Sadly, it was our last day.

Then yesterday was our Family Day. We all wore the national costumes of the different countries. Mine was China which was pretty common. First we had a mass, then some activities with the parents and after that we were on our own. At those times, I didn't feel pressure, neither stress. Overall, being with my friends would make me more uplifted than usual.

But then again, all things just ends.....
